Realme GT8 Pro's New Ricoh GR Camera – No More Compromises in Taking Natural Photos

Realme is generating considerable buzz for its new flagship series, the Realme GT8 Pro. This time, the company has focused particularly on its camera. In fact, the Realme GT8 Pro is the world's first smartphone whose main camera has passed Ricoh's GR Optical Standard certification, the same standard used for professional camera lenses.

The Realme and Ricoh teams have jointly developed this camera, which utilizes special anti-glare lens technology. This means that glare or reflections caused by light in photos will now be virtually eliminated.

The company has redesigned the camera's entire structure to achieve this. It features a 7P high-reflective lens and a five-layer ultra-low reflection coating. This reduces the lens' reflectivity to just 0.2%, resulting in clear and deep images in any light.

The Ultra Clear Lens Glass used in the camera comes with a double-layer AR coating, which provides up to 97% light transmission. Additionally, it includes Deep Absorption Blue Glass, which filters out 30% of red light.

This makes photos appear natural and eliminates the effects of infrared light. As a result, photos taken with the large 50-megapixel 1/1.56-inch sensor appear even clearer and more vibrant.

The Realme GT8 Pro advances not only its hardware but also its software. It features an intuitive algorithm engine, developed with Ricoh GR, that prevents over-sharpening or over-saturating photos. This engine operates on four key algorithms:

RAW Domain Image Algorithm, which processes images losslessly from the outset.

True Color Transition Algorithm, which provides smooth transitions with 10-bit color support.

Super Light-Sensitive HDR, which balances natural light and shadows.

and the Film-Tone Algorithm, which gives photos a natural film-like texture.

The company says that this new camera on the Realme GT8 Pro is specifically designed for street photography. Its aim is to enable users to capture real and natural moments without any editing.
