Vivo X300 Pro periscope camera

Vivo has been paying special attention to its smartphone camera technology for some time now. Recently we saw that the company introduced the Zeiss 200MP Super Main Camera in the Vivo X300 standard version.

Now the company's product manager, Han Boxiao, has given information about the periscope camera setup of the X300 Pro, which is considered to be another big step of Vivo in the camera segment.

Zeiss 200MP APO Super Telephoto Lens

The most special feature of the X300 Pro is its new 200MP HPB "Thanos" telephoto lens, which has been specially designed for Vivo in collaboration with Samsung.

This is Vivo's fourth-generation high-pixel telephoto technology, which has been continuously upgraded in the X100 Ultra, X200 Pro, and X200 Ultra and has now reached the X300 Pro.

This lens is being called the “New King of Telephoto” because it has four major improvements:

Stability: CIPA 5.5-level image stabilization, which keeps pictures stable and clear even at long distances.

Speed: New focus tracking engine, which captures moving objects accurately even from a distance.

Clarity: The exclusive Blueprint algorithm and hardware-software optimization make pictures more detailed and natural.

Purity: Zeiss T* coating, APO certification, and fluorite glass optics together reduce chromatic aberration and dispersion.

The rest of the camera and performance

As the main camera, the phone has Sony's 50MP LYT828 sensor, which is a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and offers better dynamic range. At the same time, for power, the phone is expected to get the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, which will support its advanced imaging capabilities.

Computational photography

Vivo has introduced a dual-core imaging architecture in the X300 Pro, which includes a VS1 pre-processing chip and a V3+ post-processing chip. This setup makes real-time photo restoration and reconstruction possible. The company is also going to bring AI-based generative imaging features into it in the future.
