Xiaomi launched its 17 series in China a few months ago, featuring a small screen at the back. This design was highly anticipated at the time and remains a trend among tech enthusiasts.
But now the company is preparing to launch the next flagship model in the series, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. According to a recent report by Digital Chat Station, this phone is expected to launch in December and will feature major changes in camera design and hardware.
This time, Xiaomi has removed the rear screen and replaced it with a circular camera module. This design will be largely similar to last year's Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but with a new layout and technology. According to reports, this phone will feature a larger 1-inch sensor with an f/1.6 aperture.
This camera will support LOFIC (Lateral Overflow Integration Capacitor) technology. This is an advanced imaging technology that reduces overexposure in photos and makes light and shadow details appear more natural.
Along with the main camera, it will also feature a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, which will provide significantly improved performance for mid- and long-range photography.
It is reported that this phone's camera system will include two exclusive imaging technologies, which Xiaomi will have exclusive rights to for a long time. This means that other brands will not be able to use this technology in the near future.
In terms of performance, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Ultra (5th Gen) processor, which is considered the company's most powerful chipset to date.
The phone is expected to feature a large 6000 to 7000 mAh battery, and the top variant will also offer dual satellite communication support. For display, it will feature the same Super Pixel 4a screen as the 17 Pro Max.
