Samsung is preparing to launch its flagship Galaxy S26 series in the coming months, in February 2026. Several details about this series have already surfaced ahead of the launch.

According to reports, the Galaxy S26 Ultra model will feature 60W wired +25W wireless charging, while the Standard and Plus variants will feature 20W charging speeds. The current Galaxy S25 series only offers 15W wireless charging, so this upgrade is considered a significant improvement for users.
Tech industry experts say that 25W charging will allow the battery to charge approximately 40% faster. For example, if a phone takes 100 minutes to fully charge at 15W, the same task can be accomplished in just 60 minutes with 25W charging.
Samsung hasn't made any major changes to wireless charging since the Galaxy S20 series in 2020. Apple and Chinese brands like Huawei and Xiaomi already offer wireless charging at 25W to 50W. Now, it seems Samsung is also ready to provide its users with a better fast charging experience.
According to reports, this new charging technology may also be added to the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series in the future. Furthermore, the company is also planning to introduce wireless charging features to upcoming mid-range smartphones.
According to market analysts, the demand for wireless charging technology is expected to increase exponentially in the coming years. It is estimated that its market value will more than triple to $75 billion by 2035.
