Huawei is ready to launch its Mate 80 series, and the company has finally confirmed its official date. The Mate 80 series will be introduced in China on November 25, 2025, and according to leaks, its global launch could take place by December. Interestingly, Huawei has teased the device's real images and design, making the overall look almost confirmed.
The series is expected to include four models—the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro Max, and Mate 80 RS Master Edition. Details about the color options, design, and camera modules for all four have now been revealed.
Design—The Return of the Classic “Star Ring”
The Star Ring camera, a hallmark of the Huawei Mate series, is returning this time in a new style. Leaked images show a dual-ring setup on the back of the phone, consisting of a large camera ring and another ring below it, forming an "∞" (infinity) pattern. This is believed to be the refreshed design of the Mate 40 series.
Flat displays and 3D face recognition have been confirmed for the entire Mate 80 series. Real-time images clearly show a metal body, thin bezels, and a premium finish.
