Redmi launched its much-hyped smartphone, the Redmi K90 Pro Max, in China on October 23rd. Currently, it's available there, but reports suggest it could launch globally and in markets like India by next month.
However, the company hasn't yet officially announced this. Following the launch, some key reviews and pricing information have also surfaced, making it even more interesting.
Speaking of design, the Redmi K90 Pro Max features a 6.9-inch 120 Hz LTPS display with a resolution of 2608×1200 pixels. The display's visual clarity is 2K-level, and it offers up to 900 nits of brightness. It features technologies like full DC dimming and circularly polarized light, which reduces eye strain during prolonged use.
The most notable feature of this phone is its audio system. Redmi calls it the "Music Phone" because it features 2.1-channel speakers with BOSE tuning and 1115F symmetrical dual speakers. Its sound quality is similar to that of a small portable speaker, offering a unique experience in this price range.
Speaking of the camera setup, it features a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch sensor, which is premium flagship-level. It's accompanied by a 50-megapixel JN5 periscope telephoto lens that supports 5x optical zoom and 30cm telephoto macro. There's also an 18mm OV50M ultra-wide lens, which delivers good detail and dynamic range in photos.
Speaking of performance, it's powered by the Snapdragon 8E5 chipset and D2 independent graphics chip. The company claims it can run games like Genshin Impact at a smooth 60 FPS.
It packs a large 7560 mAh battery that supports 100 W wired and 50 W wireless charging. It's arguably the most balanced device in its category in terms of battery and charging.

The Redmi K90 Pro Max is offered in three color variants—Fiberglass Black, PU Denim Blue, and Fiberglass White.
12GB + 256GB: 3999 yuan (approximately ₹46,000)
12GB + 512GB: 4499 yuan (approximately ₹52,000)
16GB + 512GB: 4799 yuan (approximately ₹55,000)
16GB + 1TB: 5299 yuan (approximately ₹61,000)
