While previously rumored to include the Reno 15, Reno 15 Pro, and Reno 15 Pro Max, it is now reported that the company has removed the Pro Max variant altogether. This means that only the Reno 15 and Reno 15 Pro will be included in the series.
According to the leaked information, both phones will feature a premium metal frame design and will be rated IP68 and IP69, making them dust and water resistant.
The Oppo Reno 15 will feature a 6.32-inch, 1.5K-resolution display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Regarding the camera setup, it will include a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For selfies, Oppo is reportedly planning to offer a 50MP front camera.
The Oppo Reno 15 Pro will feature a slightly larger 6.78-inch, 1.5K display with the same refresh rate. It will also feature the same camera setup, but the difference will be that it will also support 50W wireless charging.
Both phones will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor, which balances power efficiency and performance. It was previously believed that the Reno 15 Pro Max version would feature a Dimensity 9400 chipset, but the company has now changed its plans.
According to leaked reports, both phones will feature a large 6500 mAh battery and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Design-wise, the metal mid-frame and glass body will give them a premium look.
The company hasn't announced a launch date yet, but Oppo is expected to officially unveil it in the following months. The Reno series has always been known for its design and camera quality, and it looks like Oppo will maintain that reputation this time around as well.
The leaker also said that the Reno 15 Pro Max with a 6.59-inch display could either be removed from the lineup altogether, or it could be launched as a “small cup” variant.
