OnePlus has taken a major step forward in smartphone display technology with its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 15. The company, in collaboration with BOE, has introduced its third-generation Oriental Screen 3.0, the world's first 165 Hz ultra-high refresh rate and ultra-high definition display.
This new screen not only delivers smooth visuals but also sets new industry standards for eye protection and color accuracy.
In terms of design, the OnePlus 15 features a 6.78-inch flexible OLED display with extremely thin bezels on all four sides—just 1.15 mm. This display features LTPO 2.0 technology, which adjusts the refresh rate as needed, reducing battery consumption and improving the scrolling or gaming experience.
The biggest highlight of the OnePlus 15's screen is its 165 Hz refresh rate, which has previously only been seen in a few high-end gaming monitors. Now, this experience will be available directly on mobile. The company claims that this screen has set nine global records and uses the Display P3 chip, which makes colors more accurate and vibrant.
Furthermore, it's the world's first screen to use True Hardware Unit Dark Night Display technology. This means that even in dim light, the display appears neither too bright nor too dim—providing a truly comfortable viewing experience. It also has TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 5.0 Gold Label certification, making it a truly "eye-friendly" display.
The OnePlus 15's screen features DC dimming and 2970 Hz high-frequency dimming, which reduces flicker and prevents eye strain during prolonged use. Gaming enthusiasts will also enjoy a great experience, as the display offers native 165 Hz support for Call of Duty Mobile, League of Legends Mobile, and many other games.
According to the company, the OnePlus 15's screen offers A++ visual quality, with each pixel individually calibrated to ensure color consistency. Its color accuracy is up to ΔE 0.5, which is comparable to professional monitors.
