Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch, Will Feature New Kirin 9030 Chip and 6000mAh Battery

Huawei is working on its new flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate 80 series, and recently, renowned tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) shared key details about the Huawei Mate 80 Pro+, the highest-end model in the series.

Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ Specifications Leaked

While the company hasn't officially confirmed this, leaks suggest that Huawei is bringing significant upgrades to the display, camera, and performance.

Display and Design

According to the leak, the Huawei Mate 80 Pro+ will feature a 6.88-inch 1.5K LTPO Tandem OLED display with a slight micro-curve design. "Tandem OLED" technology means it will have a dual-layer structure, significantly improving the screen's brightness, efficiency, and lifespan.

This time, the company may adopt a "Micro Quad-Curve Design," which will result in slight curves at the edges, creating a premium look.

Camera Setup

Regarding the camera department, the rear is expected to feature a 50MP 1/1.28-inch LOFIC sensor with a variable aperture lens. It will also include a 48MP periscope telephoto camera that uses 3P+3P internal focus technology.

This will be useful not only for super-long zoom but also for macro photography. The front is expected to feature a single selfie camera and a 3D ToF sensor, which will aid in face recognition and depth sensing.

Performance and batteries

The Mate 80 Pro+ is expected to feature the company's new Kirin 9030 chipset, which is said to be more power-efficient than the older Kirin 9020. It will have a battery of over 6000 mAh, supporting both 100 W wired and 80 W wireless charging. The phone is expected to come with both eSIM and nanoSIM options, which would be a new step for Huawei.

Launch a timeline and software.

According to reports, the Huawei Mate 80 series is expected to launch in November. The series will include four models—the Mate 80, Mate 80 Pro, Mate 80 Pro+, and Mate 80 RS. All devices will be based on HarmonyOS 6, which will feature AI features and improved device optimization.
