Design and Display

The Nubia Z80 Ultra features a full-screen 2K resolution display with a 144 Hz refresh rate. The company has also added upgraded eye protection technology to ensure that prolonged use of the phone does not strain the eyes. The phone has a minimalist and premium look that will appeal to both photographers and tech lovers.

Camera Features

The Z80 Ultra's most distinctive feature is its camera setup. It features a 35mm main camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a 1/1.3-inch Light and Shadow 990 sensor. This sensor is designed for better light capture and sharper detail. It also features a dual-stroke mechanical shutter, providing a DSLR-like experience.

The Ultra-Wide Lens features an 18 mm focal length, an f/1.8 aperture, and a 1/1.55-inch sensor, which is known for its distortion-free photos. The Periscope Telephoto Lens features a 70mm focal length and f/2.4 aperture. This setup supports 50 mm, 85 mm, and 140 mm focal lengths, making framing from every angle a breeze.

Photography Kit and Experience

Nubia has also created a dedicated Z80 Ultra Photography Kit for professional photographers. It features a classic retro design, mechanical keys, and a T-Bayonet lens interface, allowing for quick attachment and removal of the camera handle.

Processor and Performance

The Z80 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which comes with Nubia's Gaming Engine. This means this phone is not just camera-ready but also ready for high-end gaming performance.
