OnePlus 15 Gaming Review: High FPS, Low Power Consumption and Smooth Experience

OnePlus 15 Gaming Review High FPS, Low Power Consumption and Smooth Experience

Performance tests for the OnePlus 15 have recently surfaced, showing that this smartphone is poised to set a new standard in gaming and smoothness.

The company has always pioneered high-refresh-rate displays, and this time, the OnePlus 15 has further expanded the gaming ecosystem with a 165 Hz ultra-high refresh rate.

Gaming tests have shown that the phone achieves an average frame rate of around 164.9 FPS in high-load games like "Delta Action" and "CrossFire." Remarkably, even a 1% lower frame rate remains above 156, ensuring smooth gameplay for extended periods.

Furthermore, power consumption has also been significantly optimized. For example, in the "CrossFire" test, the phone delivered a near-perfect frame rate while consuming just 3.7W.

The 165 Hz refresh rate not only improves smoothness but also improves response time and control. According to reports, compared to a regular 120 Hz phone, the OnePlus 15 allows users to aim faster when playing games.

And gun control is more precise. Just as professional gamers use ultra-high refresh rates on monitors, this feature on mobile phones provides an advantage in gaming.

Even in graphics-demanding games like "Collapse of Iron," the OnePlus 15 demonstrated excellent stability. At Full HD quality, the phone averaged 59.3 FPS while consuming only 6.44 W of power. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8E model consumes more power and delivers lower FPS.

In real-world tests of "Genshin Impact," the phone consistently performed at 60 FPS for an hour, with power consumption also under control. But the biggest upgrade is its Windchi gaming core, which has taken gaming stability to new heights.

The OnePlus 15 can run this game at 1.5K+120 FPS, with almost no lag. Notably, even without any cooling clips, the phone maintained an average of 120 FPS for over 30 minutes.

In terms of design, the OnePlus 15's front looks more refined than before, and it supports ColorOS 16. The new system is based on the Tidal Engine, which further improves the phone's smoothness and overall stability.
