OPPO K13 Turbo Series Launched in India – With Active Cooling Fan, 7000mAh Battery and 1.5K AMOLED Display

OPPO has launched its new smartphone K13 Turbo Series in India yesterday, which offers something different in terms of performance, battery and cooling technology. Two models are seen in this series – OPPO K13 Turbo 5G and OPPO K13 Turbo Pro 5G (Review in hindi)

The company says that these have been specially designed keeping in mind high-performance users and gamers. The most interesting feature in the phone is – in-built active cooling fan, which keeps the phone cool during long gaming or heavy tasks and helps in making the performance smooth and fast.

K13 Turbo Series Design and Display

Both models have a 17.27 cm (6.8 inch) flexible AMOLED display, which comes with BOE B23 panel. Its FHD + (2800 × 1280) resolution and 93.5% screen-to-body ratio give it a premium look.

The display has a 120Hz refresh rate. Supports 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 10-bit color depth and 1600 nits peak brightness for color accuracy, which makes the screen clear even in sunlight. AGC DT-Star D+ cover glass is supported for protection.

Camera Setup

The K13 Turbo series has a dual rear camera setup

Primary camera – 50MP wide-angle sensor (f/1.8)

Secondary camera – 2MP monochrome sensor (f/2.4)

The Pro variant also gets 2-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) with the primary camera, which makes videos and photos more stable. The 16MP selfie camera is provided in the punch-hole cutout at the front.

Processor and Performance

OPPO K13 Turbo 5G – MediaTek Dimensity 8450 processor

OPPO K13 Turbo Pro 5G – Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen4 chipset with Wi-Fi 7 support

Both the devices have an active cooling fan system to keep the performance better, which prevents the phone from overheating even during long gaming sessions.

Battery and Charging

Both models have a large 7000mAh battery.

K13 Turbo 5G – 80W SUPERVOOC charging, support up to 67W

K13 Turbo Pro 5G – 80W SUPERVOOC + UFCS support, with 44W UFCS and QC standard

The company claims that the combination of such a big battery and fast charging will be very useful for everyday heavy users.

Software and other features

Both smartphones run on ColorOS 15. Also, support for in-display fingerprint sensor, infrared remote control, Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi 7 in Pro variant) is available.
