Honor is set to launch its new Honor 500 and Honor 500 Pro in China on November 24, 2025. Ahead of the launch, several details regarding the design, camera, and features of both phones have already surfaced.
Renowned tipster Bald Panda detailed the Honor 500 Pro's camera system in a post, making it clear that the company is aiming to offer a robust camera configuration even in its budget segment.
First, let's talk about the design and build. The Honor 500's weight and thickness vary slightly depending on the color variant—200 grams at 7.9 mm and 202 grams at 7.75 mm.
The Honor 500 Pro is slightly larger and heavier, measuring 8.1 mm thick and weighing approximately 205 grams. Both will feature large 8000 mAh batteries, while wireless charging is only available on the Pro model.
Now, let's talk about the camera, where the Honor 500 Pro is generating the most buzz. A 64MP OV64B periscope lens was initially expected, but according to Bald Panda, the phone will actually feature a 50MP Sony IMX858 periscope camera with 3x optical zoom. This sensor is considered superior for low-light photography and detail capture.
The rear camera setup will include a 200MP Samsung HP3 main sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens (117° FOV). The front camera, according to earlier reports, is expected to be 50 MP. This setup will come with Magic Imaging (XMAGE-style) processing, which is expected to improve color and zoom quality.
The display is expected to be a 6.55-inch 2736×1264 pixel resolution OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is expected, delivering flagship-level performance. The 8000 mAh silicon battery may support 80 W wired and 50 W wireless charging.
The Honor 500 Pro is expected to come in multiple variants—from 12GB/256GB to 16GB/1TB. Color options may include Aquamarine, Starlight Powder, Obsidian Black, and Moonlight Silver.
