Samsung is preparing its next flagship series, the Galaxy S26, and the most interesting model is expected to be the Galaxy S26 Edge. This phone is expected to launch in January 2026, alongside the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Ultra. It is believed that this device will replace last year's Galaxy S25 Edge.
Design and Build
According to leaked information, the Galaxy S26 Edge will have an even thinner design. The phone is said to be only 5.5 mm thick, with the camera island extending to 5.3 mm. A large camera island will be placed on the back, somewhat similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
The frame will be made of titanium, and the phone is expected to be lightweight. The display will be flat, with thin bezels and rounded corners. Furthermore, the phone will be IP68 certified, meaning it will be water and dust resistant.
Display and Performance
This time, the phone will feature a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and a 3120 x 1440 resolution.
Samsung may adopt a dual-chip strategy for performance, meaning it will launch with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor in some markets and an Exynos 2600 chipset in others. It could be paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB storage variants.
Camera and Battery
The camera setup won't change significantly. The main camera will still come with a 200MP sensor. However, the ultra-wide camera could be upgraded to a 50MP sensor. The front camera will remain the same.
The battery has been slightly improved—it will now have a 4200 mAh battery with 25 W wired charging and Qi2-supported wireless charging.
Price and Availability
There's no official pricing information, but this phone is expected to start at around $1099 (approximately Rs. 90,000), similar to the previous model.
