Samsung launched its new M-series smartphone, the Galaxy M17, in India today, October 10th. This phone is essentially a rebranded version of the Galaxy F17 and Galaxy A17, which the company recently introduced. However, the Galaxy M17 stands out due to its unique color options and price.
The phone has been launched in two new color variants—Moonlight Silver and Sapphire Black. Pricing: The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant will be available for ₹12,499, while the 6GB and 8GB RAM models are priced at ₹13,999 and ₹15,499, respectively.
In terms of design, the Galaxy M17 offers a premium and sleek look. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080x2340 px) resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate. The display also has Gorilla Glass protection, making it scratch-resistant.
Speaking of performance, it uses the Samsung Exynos 1330 chipset, which, along with its octa-core processor, delivers a smooth multitasking and gaming experience. The phone runs on Android 15-based One UI 7.0, and Samsung promises up to six years of software and security updates.
The rear camera features a triple camera setup, consisting of a 50MP primary lens, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro camera. The front camera features a 13MP selfie camera that supports Full HD video recording.
The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with 25 W fast charging. It also boasts advanced features like a USB Type-C port, 5G connectivity, water and dust resistance, and a hybrid SIM slot.
The Samsung Galaxy M17 will go on open sale starting October 13th through Samsung India and partner retailers.
