Vivo has officially launched its new operating system, OriginOS 6. The company describes it as a "new-generation smart user experience," bringing significant upgrades not only in design but also in performance and AI features.
The launch also coincides with the introduction of the vivo X300 series, which will be the first phones with OriginOS 6.
A Glimpse of the New Design and Interface
The user interface in OriginOS 6 has been made even lighter, cleaner, and smoother. It features a new Flux theme, light and shadow effects, and a real-time blurring design that gives the screen a depth and natural feel. The lock screen is now more interactive, with users able to use several new widgets, custom text, and AI lighting effects.
Animation and Theme Improvements
vivo has completely redesigned the animations in OriginOS 6. Actions like scrolling, app opening, and charging will now feature glass and light-filled effects. Additionally, icons for dark mode now change to a lighter shade, maintaining visual balance.
AI and Smart Connectivity Features
Vivo has placed a significant emphasis on AI in OriginOS 6. For the first time, it introduces the Live Photo AI Removal feature, which can remove unwanted objects from photos in real time. Furthermore, the system will now be better integrated with the iPhone ecosystem and sync with smart home and in-car devices.
Performance and Storage Optimization
Vivo has added technologies such as Heterogeneous Computing, Storage Fusion, and Virtual Graphics Card. These features accelerate the system's response speed, especially in scenarios like high load or ticket booking.
New BlueOS 3 Launched
Vivo has also introduced its new Blue River operating system (BlueOS 3), which will debut on the vivo WATCH GT2 and iQOO WATCH GT2.
OriginOS 6 will be rolled out to vivo and iQOO devices in the coming weeks. According to the company, its update coverage will be greater than ever before, giving users a better, faster, and more natural smartphone experience.
