Qualcomm has finally introduced its new mid-range chipset, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 Mobile Platform. This new processor is designed for users who want a balance between performance and efficiency. The company has built it on its 4nm process, making it more power-efficient and smoother than before.
Improved Performance and Gaming Experience
The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 features a Kryo CPU, which includes four performance cores (up to 2.4 GHz) and four efficiency cores (up to 1.8 GHz). The company claims that this chipset delivers 36% faster CPU and 59% better GPU performance than its previous version. For gamers, it includes features like an Adreno GPU, Vulkan 1.1 support, and HDR gaming.
Additionally, technologies like Variable Rate Shading and Game Quick Touch make the gaming experience even smoother.
Display and Camera Features
With this chipset, FHD+ displays will be supported at up to a 144 Hz refresh rate, making scrolling and animations feel extremely smooth. Regarding the camera, it supports up to 200MP photo capture and 2K HDR video recording.

Video recording occurs at 30 fps, while 720p slow-motion video can be recorded at 240 fps. It also includes a dual 12-bit Spectra ISP and multi-frame noise reduction features, which deliver better details in low light.

The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 features 5G connectivity (mmWave + Sub-6GHz), with download speeds up to 2.9 Gbps. Additionally, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, and LE Audio. Powered by LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, it ensures lightning-fast data transfers and app loading. It also features Quick Charge 4+ technology for fast charging.
Audio and Security
Audio quality is achieved using Snapdragon Sound and the Aqstic audio codec, which delivers clear, high-res audio output. Security features include Trusted Execution Environment and a Type-1 Hypervisor.
