According to renowned tech leaker Digital Chat Station, the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, Air 2, and Fold will be launched in September 2026. The base model, the iPhone 18, and the more affordable iPhone 18e could be introduced in the spring of 2027 (March–April). This is believed to be Apple's new strategy to keep the iPhone lineup fresh throughout the year.
Most interestingly, the iPhone 18 is expected to feature 12GB of RAM, which is approximately 50% more than the iPhone 17. This will not only improve app performance and multitasking but also make the phone more easily capable of handling AI-based tasks.
According to some reports, the iPhone 18 Pro series is set to see some significant changes this time. The Pro Max model will feature a variable aperture camera system, providing better control of exposure and depth in photos. The 48MP periscope lens will also be upgraded with a larger aperture, improving both quality and sharpness in low-light photography.
For performance, it could feature Apple's next A20 Pro chipset, built on a 2 nm process. This chip will not only be more powerful but will also improve battery efficiency. Additionally, Apple Intelligence features will be made more natural and interactive.
The iPhone 18 Air 2 could feature a thinner and lighter design, while the Fold model will be Apple's first foldable iPhone, showcasing the company's innovation direction.
