Huawei launched its new MatePad Pro 12.2-inch Gold Collector's Edition (MRO-W10) in China today. The company made it available for sale at 10:08 AM. Interestingly, this is the same tablet that Huawei launched in July 2025, but now its Gold Collector's Edition version has arrived.
The most notable feature of this new edition is that it has a physical SIM card slot, meaning it can be used with a network. It will only be available in one variant—with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Display and Design
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2 Gold Collector's Edition features a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display with a resolution of 2800×1840 pixels. It supports a 144 Hz refresh rate, P3 wide color gamut, HDR Vivid certification, and 1.07 billion colors. The PaperMatte version of the display is specially designed for eye protection and a better reading experience.

Camera and Performance
For photography, it has a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. There's an 8MP front camera for video calls or conferencing.
This tablet is compelling in terms of performance and is Huawei's first tablet to support Wi-Fi 7.
Battery and Charging
The MatePad Pro 12.2 Gold Edition features a 10,100mAh battery that charges up to 85% in just 40 minutes. It also has fast charging support and a one-step unlock feature, allowing for quick and secure unlocking of the tablet.
Pricing and Availability
The Huawei MatePad Pro 12.2-inch Gold Collector's Edition is priced at 7,799 yuan (approximately ₹91,000 It's available only in the PaperMatte display variant and is currently being sold exclusively in China. A global launch is imminent, but no official information has yet been released.
