Xiaomi's upcoming 17 series has been in the news, and now some important details have emerged regarding the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max model. During its pre-launch campaign, the company demoed several features related to its rear display, suggesting a significant shift in both the phone's design and usability.

This phone features a large secondary display on the back panel that goes beyond just displaying the time. It also supports different clock styles, dynamic wallpapers, cartoon characters, and animated elements.

Not only this, but a feature called "Infinite Screen Mode" has also been added, allowing users to display their favorite images, animations, or quick widgets on the back screen. This feature was previously only available on compact foldable phones, but now it's being introduced to a regular flagship phone.

Regarding the camera setup, the phone features a 50MP Leica triple camera system. It features the same main and ultra-wide sensors as the Pro version—a larger f/1.67 aperture main sensor and a 17 mm ultra-wide lens.

It also features a 115 mm 5x periscope telephoto lens, this time with an expanded f/2.6 aperture. Reports suggest that both the main and periscope cameras use new hardware and algorithms, which will improve low-light photography and detail quality.

Although the company has not yet disclosed pricing or a launch date, we anticipate the official unveiling of the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max this month. Based on its design, back display, and camera upgrades, this phone could be the most distinctive and premium model in the 17 series.
