OnePlus recently shared the first teaser for its new OnePlus Turbo Series, and the company has made it clear that the biggest focus of this series will be on the battery. According to OnePlus, the Turbo series will feature the largest battery ever, significantly larger than the 8300mAh battery of the previously launched OnePlus Ace 6T.
9000mAh Battery: Necessity or overkill?
According to leaks and official hints, the OnePlus Turbo series may feature a 9000mAh dual-cell battery. This would be the first time such a large battery is seen in the Oppo-OnePlus ecosystem. The advantage of the dual-cell design is that despite the large battery size, charging and thermal management remain efficient.
If you use your phone for gaming, video streaming, or extended social media use, this battery could provide more than 9-10 hours of screen-on time. Even with heavy gaming, you won't need to charge the phone frequently.
Focus on Performance and Cooling
The OnePlus Turbo series isn't just limited to a large battery. It is expected to feature the latest Snapdragon 8 series processor, optimized with special "Turbo CPU tuning." An advanced cooling system will also be included to prevent the phone from overheating during extended gaming sessions.
Display and Design
The Turbo series may feature a high refresh rate display, which will make gaming and scrolling smoother. In terms of design, the phone might be slightly thicker, but this is understandable given the large battery. This could be a practical compromise for gaming users.
Price and Launch Updates
Currently, OnePlus has not provided any official information regarding the launch date and price of the Turbo series. However, according to reports, it may be priced in the mid-premium range. The global version might be launched in India under a different name.
