Vivo has officially announced that its new smartphone, the Vivo Y500 Pro, will be launched in China on November 10, 2025, at 7 p.m. The company has added this phone to its Y series, but it offers several features previously only seen in flagship phones. Vivo says the Y500 Pro has been specifically designed for users looking for long battery life, reliable performance, and excellent camera quality.
Design and Display
In terms of design, the Y500 Pro features a flagship-grade Satin AG Glass finish, giving it a premium look. Its 6.67-inch 1.5K flat OLED display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The bezel around the screen is just 1.37mm, making the viewing experience even better. The display also comes with eye-protection technology, preventing eye strain during prolonged use.
Camera and Performance
The Vivo Y500 Pro's biggest highlight is its 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 main camera sensor. It features a high-quality telephoto enhancement algorithm and CIPA 4.0 professional-grade stabilization, delivering excellent clarity in both photos and videos. There's a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
The phone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, which balances performance and battery efficiency. The company claims that the phone achieves over 1 million benchmark scores and supports 120fps gaming in games like "Honor of Kings."
Battery and Software
The Y500 Pro features a 7000mAh semi-solid state battery, which delivers stable performance even in extremely cold temperatures (down to -30°C). The phone comes with both IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it's completely water and dust resistant. On the software front, it runs on Android 16 based on OriginOS 6, and the company claims it will deliver smooth performance for up to 5 years.
