Honor made headlines earlier this year with its Power series phones, and now the company is back in the news. It's being reported that Honor is preparing to launch the Honor Power 2 soon. Ahead of the launch, significant details about this phone's battery have surfaced—its capacity will surprise everyone.
According to reports, this device recently passed the China Quality Certification Center (3C) test and will feature a 9755 mAh battery, which will be promoted as a 10,000 mAh battery in the market. This means it will be one of the largest smartphone batteries ever.
Honor launched the Honor Power earlier this year, which featured an 8,000 mAh battery. The Power 2 will be the next upgrade in that series. Its internal codename is "Yaozi." According to leaked reports,
This phone uses silicon-carbon battery technology, which will increase battery capacity while maintaining a balanced size and weight. This is why, despite having such a large battery, the phone is said to be only 8 mm thick, which is quite impressive.
Specifications: The Honor Power 2 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset based on a 4 nm architecture. The display will be a 6.79-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel with support for a 120 Hz refresh rate. The camera setup is expected to include a 50MP main sensor (OIS) and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. The phone will support 66W fast charging, allowing even this large battery to be fully charged in about an hour.
Specifications: This phone will run on MagicOS 9 (Android 15). Honor is expected to launch it in the first quarter of 2026, and it could be priced around ₹15,000–₹20,000 in the Indian market.
