MediaTek's new flagship chipset, Dimensity 9500, is going to enter the market soon. The special thing is that this processor has a special feature that is designed only for Vivo's camera system. That is, Vivo's upcoming smartphone is going to get special imaging capabilities in it.
According to the latest leaks and reports, Dimensity 9500 is built on TSMC N3p process technology. It has a combination of 1 super-core (4.21 GHz Travis), 3 performance cores (3.50 GHz Alto), and 4 efficiency cores (2.7 GHz Gelas). This configuration will provide balanced performance and better power management to the phone.
For graphics, it has a Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU, in which new microarchitecture will be seen. It is being said that this will improve ray tracing performance and also reduce power consumption. This can prove to be a big upgrade for gaming and heavy graphical tasks.
Memory and storage support is also strong. Dimensity 9500 will get support for LPDDR5x RAM (up to 10667 Mbps) and UFS 4.1 storage. This will ensure faster data transfer and smooth multitasking.
Talking about cache memory, it has 16MB L3 and 10MB SLC cache. Also supports the new SME instruction set. For AI performance, it has NPU 9.0, which is expected to be up to 100 TOPS. This means that this chipset will be able to handle image processing, AI photo enhancement, and generative AI tasks with ease.
