Honor is working on its new Magic8 series, which the company has confirmed will launch in the fourth quarter of this year (October-December 2025). According to Honor CMO Guo Rui, this smartphone will be the company's most exciting AI-powered flagship yet. It will feature Night God technology and several AI features that could transform the entire smartphone experience.
Design and Display
The Magic8 series will be offered in two sizes—6.6-inch and 6.8-inch. It will feature a large and premium-looking display. The phone's design is expected to feature thin bezels and a curved screen. Like the previous series, Honor has adopted a "large cup" design, making the phone attractive to hold.
Camera and AI Features
The biggest highlights of this series will be the 200MP main camera and periscope telephoto lens. The company has developed a special feature called Night God, which includes features like AI night scene optimization, AI color grading, and AI composition. This means that photos taken at night or in low light will appear clear and natural.
The Magic 8 may also feature a dedicated AI button, allowing users to easily control photo settings and other phone settings. Features like AI portrait segmentation and AI posing will be useful for those who are active in mobile photography and social media.
Performance and Battery
The Honor Magic 8 series will feature the new MagicOS 10, which features deep AI integration and support for large language models (LLMs). The phone will feature a large battery with dual 3D+7K resolution and hardware-level anti-shake support.
Launch and Availability
Honor hasn't revealed pricing yet, but the Magic8 and Magic8 Pro are expected to launch in October 2025, while the Magic8 Ultra and Magic8 Mini could arrive in early 2026.
