Vivo Y500 |
Vivo has officially confirmed that it will launch its new smartphone, Vivo Y500, on 1 September 2025, and this time the company has paid special attention to battery and strength.
The phone has been introduced in two new color options—Glacier Blue and Dragon Crystal Purple—which look attractive along with simplicity.
The design of the phone has been kept quite minimalistic. There is a round-shaped camera module at the back, which feels balanced when held in hand. The Y500 has a 6.77-inch OLED display, which has a 120 Hz refresh rate and 2392×1080 pixel resolution. The screen supports 3840 Hz PWM dimming, which does not put much strain on the eyes during long use.
The biggest feature of this phone, due to which this phone remains in the discussion, is its 8200mAh Blue Ocean battery. The company claims that it can easily last for two days in normal use.
It also has support for 90W fast charging, which fully charges the phone in about 64 minutes. The battery is also guaranteed to last for four years.
The Vivo Y500 has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor, which gives smooth performance for everyday use and gaming. The phone uses LPDDR5 RAM and UFS storage. Apart from this, the 360° wall-penetrating antenna helps to improve the network signal.
The phone will be launched in four variants.
8GB RAM + 128GB storage
8GB RAM + 256GB storage
12GB RAM + 256GB storage
12GB RAM + 512GB storage
Talking about the camera, it has a 50MP main sensor and a 2MP depth camera. An 8MP front camera has been provided for selfies.
The phone has received an IP68/69/69+ rating, which means it is protected from water and dust. Also, the Diamond Rock structure protects it from falls and shocks. The phone is 8.23 mm thin and weighs 213 grams.
