Huawei has officially announced that it will launch its new tri-fold smartphone, the Huawei Mate X, on September 4.

This will be the world's second mass-produced tri-fold phone. The company has named it "Mate XTs Extraordinary Master and All-Scenario New Product Launch Event," which will be held at 2:30 PM (China time).

Huawei CEO Yu Zheng was seen holding a white Mate XTs in a recently released teaser video. This confirms that the new phone is now going to come in two new color options—Crimson Purple and Pure White. Especially the white variant has been called "Master Colorway" by the company, which gives a subtle and premium look.

Talking about the design, a leaked post by well-known tipster Digital Chat Station reveals that the Mate XTs will once again feature a Z-shaped folding structure, similar to its predecessor.

Its large display will be equipped with a 50MP variable aperture camera and a periscope telephoto imaging system, which will significantly enhance its photography capabilities.

According to reports, this phone will also come with stylus support (HUAWEI M-Pencil), which has made it even more attractive for business and professional users.

The processor details are still unclear, but the Kirin 9020 series chipset is expected. This phone also supports Tiantong satellite communication, which will help in maintaining connectivity in remote areas."

Huawei has not yet revealed the full specifications of Mate XTs, but initial information suggests that this device will be very special in terms of design and innovation.
